The ultimate answer is the right amount of hydration at the right time

Less than enough water intake causes dehydration and causes a big dip in performance.

More than enough water intake cause hyponatremia (diluted sodium levels) causes also a big dip in performance.

Performance dip can be caused by cramps, bloated feeling, nausea, stomach discomfort or even by death.

SO how much should we drink?

Research show in most conditions that 500-700ml / hour is enough.

Balance is the key.
