A group of suspected security guards waylaid a group of bikers in a biking trail near Bgy. Malipay, Bacoor, Cavite recently, taking off with mountain bikes worth close to P 800,000.
A group of six bikers led by Alvin Timbol were riding along known mountain bike trails in the desolate area of Cavite when suddenly four men armed with a shotgun and revolvers came out of the greenery and announced the robbery.
The men were wearing traditional security guards uniforms, black pants and white T-shirts.
Their faces were covered but the bikers could discern that they were security guards in the area.
The bikers were forced to lie on the ground and their cash, ID cards and cellphones were all taken by the armed men.
The men even fired shots to scare the bikers as they ran off in the direction of Paliparan near the town of Dasmariñas.
The bikers reported the incident to the nearest police station in Dasmariñas, but those policemen refused to act on the theft and said that it was out of their jurisdiction.
The bikers reported the matter to the Daang Hari sub-station of Las Piñas who again refused to pursue the robbers because it was also “not their jurisdiction.”
Despite a phone call to Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla, who said he would look into the matter, no action was taken by any police station on the robbery.

SOUTHSIDE BIKERS: DO NOT RIDE ALONE in and around BF Homes Parañaque. Yesterday, someone was beaten up and stabbed in the thigh with an icepick by unidentified bike robbers who then took his bike and helmet. The robbers were in an old L300 van with no plate number and it happened on El Grande ave. around sunrise. Please pass.-MIKE D
