Re: Singapore Duathlon 2012
Nice tip fafi Ryan.
So better buy ng cheap lace for dua/tri.yung di na magsisintas.
As i see it, another adventure to. Another learning sexperience
Hoping for more info and tips...

Re: Singapore Duathlon 2012
sa bike leg, time to take nutrition, 90-95% effort (40kph+) along stretch ng ecp service road, tutal closed yun sa vehicles at malapad kalye, pero pag pasok sa loob ng ecp after sailing club ay reduce speed, recovery 70% effort, very prone to accident, masikip, daming fun riders zigzaging and hugging the road at mga kids biglang tatawid.
importante talaga ang brick workout sa duathlon, esp if you are aiming for a decent time.
good luck sa iyo sa 2012 duathlon!

Wow! interesting...
Nice tip Earth... what on earth happens to your calves?
We don't use our calf muscles that much during cycling...
Which one is the top part, run to bike or bike to run?
Tnx.

Re: Singapore Duathlon 2012
@makoy, i used my tri specific bike, iba geometry ng tri at road, naka forward position ako kaya gumagana din ang calves ko during cycling.
ang critical sa bike to run transition ay ang dismounting, pag push ng bike to transition area at pag suot ng running shoes. kung not enough ang brick workout ay pwedeng pulikatin which will lead to suffering during the last run leg.
mas tough and critical ang bike to run transition, dyan lahat nadadale kahit mga pros.

Based from previous experience ng mga sumali na dito...
Di b masyadong crowded and ECP during the bike race part?
Will it help kung naka-aero/TT position ka, or it becomes useless kasi nga masyadong crowded yung lugar?
I'm really considering to join...
