then malaman mo na na drop siya kc ayaw niya magdraft bcoz muntik na siya mabangga sa isa pang rider
kaso i dnt care and i dnt add them up
even look bomba doesn't say a thing about it
ang importante eh yung effort mo sa loob ng interval
"did i maximize a certain energy system i intended to do in the interval?"

para hindi maging junk miles yung group ride.
eh magtulungan tayo sa pull. do a 5-10minute highend aerobic pace on the front.
then drop to the paceline to rest for your next turn to pull afterwards.

kung gumawa ng breakaway pack c lookbomba for example.
estimate kung kaya niyo ba dumikit.
kung hindi eh magvoltron tau natitira kaysa sabog.
form a time trial training pack with a good paceline.

ayaw nyo pala mangitim ha! shift tau sa chess. party

ang kulang lang po talaga sa atin eh konting socials, na mangyayari kung me stop para kumain.

sharing of thoughts, experience, bentahan ng piyesa, alaskahan... etc.

even yung big group gaya ng joyriders, anza, me pitstop sila every weekend ride(longhouse/eastcoast) para maka socials
yung mga weekend warrior(like me). sa ganun way lalaki ang group, marami ma encourage mag join every RTI(saturday lang to mga tol!)

now kse, pag me mga bago, more often than not, na ta trauma sa bilis ng group or sa kakulangan ng time to know each other.
gaya nung mga sengkang boys(yung mga naka cervelo) at yung mga new pasir ris boys(natira na lang ata si amang at israel)
or yung mga taga STAT. kse suma sama lang sila para subukan yung mga sarili nila, hehehe and then umabot ng 50KPH sa keppel!!! ayaw na next time. hehehe. magbubuo na sila ng sarili nila group, their own pace nga naman.

my suggestion is, no matter what 6:00 am or 6:30 am, sana every sat ride, kahit maghatawan or may mga sprint points or may mag escape(just like me nagkamali ) eh magkaron tayo ng meeting point(pitstop) before maghiwa hiwalay ang group on their
way home.

we can do it half way(or anywhere along the way), kahit hindi pasir ris. kesa magkawayan na lang tau at lumiko na pala yung iba pauwi.

every RTI lang naman to, sabi nga ni Fafi Ryan eh discouraging yung distance kse na 110-120km ride.
malay nyo when we finally know each other and welcome other pinoy roadies eh me makilala kayo na mga competitive pala
at mabuo yung PBB test team.

then SUN to FRI eh ensayo nyo na yun mga RACERS! or kayo na lang humila sa amin tuwing RTI. or kayo taga sigaw, two line!,one line!, palit ng trangko! naturuan nyo pa kme. hug

1. babagal para magregroup na di babagal para walang junk miles.

extra lap sa lead riders?
before the end of LCK eh may isang maliit na loop yung bagong road Lor Rusuk.
so kailangan muna mag 1 lap dun before the finish para masanay
tayo ng konting technical twist and turns before the finish.
sakto pagbalik eh yung naiwan sa NT at LCK eh makakahabol by not taking the extra lap.

2. early at late aalis kaso one pack parin.

3. sosyalan at kwentutan na hindi tatanghaliin ang mga troopa.

SERIOUSLY mga tropa

I would need more of your inputs and suggestions.


The traditional RTI can be modified para mafit sa mga present riders.
There are alot of new faces.
And as one of the pioneer PBB riders, I would humbly say that...

Pabago-bago rin yung RTI nung kapanahunan ng orig PBB riders (where ever they may be)

quick history RTI..

it started around october 2008
saturday of course
before eh ang rides ng PBB eh JR530 back to LH
yung mga mahihina eh sa Mandai shell ang meeting place 6am
sarap nito at generally downhill to adam road via btimah
sa lornie rd pagakyat eh hiwalay na yung puti sa decolor
isa na ako sa decolor at sina randy at johnny at henry
eh pinahihirapan ang mga ibang JR lalo na si stepano na marked man nila.
mga 630 nasa LH na et kwentutan
then mag west loop 7am with JR.
ako laspag na by that time kaya east loop ako then peel away sa sengkang at haus na
then naisip ng mga tropa noon
na tanghali na sila nakakauwi pag 7am west loop
tsaka lumalakas ang mga riders na gusto na mas mahabang ruta
naisip ng mga PBB na mag west loop nalang diretso from mandai shell 6am
kaso naiigsian ang mga loko after a few tries. nagpapatayan sila pagakyat ng s. buona vista.
dito napagisipan na mag RTI.
ayun ang pilot run ng RTI nasimulan
noon eh may mga regrouping point na kwentuhan to the maxxxxx
as in nakarating na yung last rider eh tigil para kwentuhan ng 5minutes pa
regrouping points are...
LCK cemetery busstop after stoplight
Jlan Buroh roundabout ang sunod
Minsan dun sa petrol station sa may j buroh sa may kaliwa
Dadaan ng westcoast at dito nagcracramps na ako at survival nalang at natutong magdraft for survival.
bustop after going down West coast flyover eh regrouping point rin
Esplanade regrouping at picture picture pa! wala pa yung IR noon.
Eat and kain sa hawker dun sa may ECP
Afterwards takbo sa coastal and regroup sa may along Loyang
hindi sprint point ang Loyang noon kasi laspag na
nagshoshortcut pa yung iba sa Loyang industrial para hindi na aakyat
hindi pa rin uso noon yung shortcut sa tampines industial (IBM ngayon)
kasi wala pa yan noon kaya dun kami sa may templo dadaan
then old tampines rd to defu lane
kanan to sengkang
minsan titigil ang tropa sa j kayu para mag roti prata.
dito ako natuto kumain ng prata kasi noon ayaw ko at mukhang tae.
hahataw ang tropa sa seletar
then yishun para makauwi sa kanila.
exactly fitted as a glove ang RTI noon kasi ang mga riders eh taga yishun at hougang lang.

lumalakas ang mga tropa after several months.
kaya nawawala dahan dahan ang regrouping point kasi intact pa ang grupo.
kahit pinapatay kami ni Johnny at randy noon
eh kapit to the maxx. dito ako nagsimula mag indoor training para makakapit.
ako yata yung pinaka mahina sa grupo until dumating yung pasaway na si Mike V na parang kiti2x sa paceline.
nadagdagan pa ni MikeO afterwards at ded olredi.
Si look bomba sumasama narin by this time kaso palaman lang ng feloton.

ilang months rin naging ganito then nawala ang 7-11 stopover

kaso ang problema eh komokonti na kasi nag half rti nalang yung mga fitness challenged sa full rti
nangyari eh sa Elias mall na ang stopover na laking tuwa ni Mike V kasi sa house na nila.
at this time eh nagshoshortcut parin sa Loyang industrial nag mga tropa
at nag shoshort cut narin sa new road (IBM) sa may Tampines industrial
kasi naka witness ng disgrasya ang tropa sa may kanto
pa uturn ata ang trak at ang taxi na diretso binangga ang trak na tumalsik sa impact.
at this time rin eh gawa na yung buangkok bridge shortcut
ayaw na namin umikot sa may Defu lane at ang dami ng trak at para makauwi maaga ang mga taga Yishun and beyond
Si ernest at silver nito eh kasama narin pala na minsan papartidahan kami ng MTB kaso half pr full RTI lang

sa isang di kanais-nais na pangyayari eh nadisgrasya ang PBB sa west coast flyover
medyo malubha yung nangyari kina randy at jun
dito dahan dahan numipis ang hanay ng PBB

may mga panahon noon na ako lang ang nagrti mag-isa kasi walang sumulpot sa Mandai shell 6am

Si kiko as usual the most inconsitent rider minsan sisipot
Si MikeO eh medyo consistent kaso half lang talaga kasi may pasok
Sina Ian ang company eh minsan sisipot kaso half RTI lang

At dumating yung mga susunod henerasyon ng PBB
Sumasama na ang mga halimaw ng padyakpinoy MTB.
Sila Nody, Lito, bubit?, owen at etc...
Halimaw itong si Nody at partida naka MTB minsan
Dito medyo lumaki ulit ang grupo at sumasama na ulit si Johnny at look bomba.
Si MikeO eh masigasig narin kasi may kalaban na siya sa sprint points.
Dito sumama rin sina makoy na best improved rider noon
Sa laki ng improvement eh naging Sengkang or J. Kayu na ang stopover.

may mga taga tampines na at toa payoh.
Medyo malaki na ang difference of capabilities kay mahirap balansehan.

This "Junk Miles" & "Pitstop" had gone too far...

Let's simplify it...

1. Junk Miles

I am referring to the portion of the ride where we are riding too slow...
Too slow that basically it has no purpose - we are not waiting for anyone nor recovering...
This junk miles is only justifiable if we are re-grouping or really recovering from a hard effort.
Pero yung parang tinatamad eh ibang usapan yun... tumakatbo oras namain at lalong tumataas yung araw.

If the group will remember, this is the time when I am shouting "ano ba yan 40W lang..."

2. Social Pitstop

We are not against this... this is a good thing actually.
Pero we cannot always confirm our presence (especially for those who lives beyond Sengkang)...
Unless, i-transfer nyo yung social pitstop sa malapit sa amin.

The idea is, we wanted to reach home as early as possible and limit the unnecessary delays of the ride.
This doesn't mean, to drop the slow riders.... No way I will push for that for I am one of them...
We begin riding as a group and we wanted to end the ride also as a group.

Mandai to Kranji dam - 25kph
Dam to end of NT - 36kph
NT to start of LCK - 25kph
LCK to Stoplight cemetery - 39kph
Stoplight cemetery to Jurong Pier rd - 20kph
Jurong pier rd to J buroh roundabout - 42kph
Jburoh to Base of aqueduct - 30kph
Aqueduct - 48kph
City to ECP service rd -25kph
ECP service rd - 35kph
Tanah merah service rd (inside the park) - 20kph
Coastal to Loyang - 37kph
Loyang to Sengkang - 25kph

the yellow marks are the low speed sections
paki indicate kung saan niyo gusto nakamax parin ang takbo ng mga kabayo hataw

i can still recover riding at ~190w
problemo kung 190w parin yung icracrank ko eh wala nang makakregroup
190w can average 35kph on a flat road windless
para makahabol ang naiwan eh kailangan nila magcrank ng 50w more

as Ive said on the previous post
kung mabagal e set up the pace
kung gusto mo naka endurance pace ka always at mabagal ang grupo
volunteer ur power on the front by cranking your endurance pace.

same lang naman ag power kung nasa draft ka cranking endurance power
at nsa front kung endurance power yung crinacrank mo

pwede tirahin kaso kawawa ang kakarating lang ng Mandai kc walang warmup
*ito ang suggestion ni look bomba na after the dam na daw magsimula

NT to start of LCK - 25kph
sige try natin continuous parin yung power
gagawin ko nalang as one interval yung dam to LCK para masmahaba

Stoplight cemetery to Jurong Pier rd - 20kph
maraming stoplights at trak n kotse
kaso pwede natin gawin racepace in between stoplights

Jburoh to Base of aqueduct - 30kph
actually dito eh pwede tumakbo ng >40kph sa dami ng trucks
iwan nalang ang maiwan sa J buroh stretch

City to ECP service rd -25kph
Actually may mali ako dito
Dapat yung after the last stoplight ng city
gawin kong interval till fort rd
fort road to ECP service eh pwede relax konti

Tanah merah service rd (inside the park) - 20kph
best we only run 20kph here
respect park rules and pang realx narin

Loyang to Sengkang - 25kph
mahirap sa pasir ris sa dami ng stoplights tumira parin
sa old tampi eh gagawin kong sprint point ulit yung small uphill
para mabilis parin ang takbo. pipigain natin

kaso kawawa naman ang hataw mo papi, binawasan yung recovery.
tulungan mo nalang ang hataw kasi love naman kau 4ever
kaso kung di talaga pwede eh kakayanin ng hataw kasi ur always in his heart

*next SAT pala rest week ko as I promised myself.

i would admit minsan namamatayan ako ng makina after doing an interval at my limit.
which let me end up cranking slow.
i would admit minsan eh bumabagal ako lalo na kung juicy na kwento yung katabi ko.
i would admin minsan bumabagal ako kasi may nakasalubong tayo na juicy cyclist in his tights that makes my heart beat faster adn slower at the same time which end up cranking slower because the blood went somewhere else

ganito nalang talaga ang simplest solution. kiss

IF ONE WOULD FIND THE PACE SLOW FOR HIS/HER LIKING THEN HE/SHE MAY SET UP THE PACE ON FRONT.
HE/SHE CAN ALSO ASK SOMEBODY ELSE TO SET THE PACE OF HIS/HER LIKING ON FRONT.

this is my $2 prata sugestion pra wla ng junk miles. first train leaving at 0600 are the immortal brothers. cla ang gumamit ng wats while second train leaving at 0630 are the mutya brothers ito naman ang gumamit ng 12v with 100 mega ampers. lubas lng ang mega ampers kung my event n sasalihan.. nagkamali

Masaya nga kami at lumalaki ang grupo ngayon...

Single time slot lang tayo...

And please note na yung junk miles eh hindi dahil sa kahihintay sa mga slower riders...
I was shooting a different issue...

Forget it.... lets just ride together this weekends.

C u mga ka-tropa at our original time slot 6 AM!!! hataw

bakit kahit na wala ako absent last year (except when mtb) - hindi ako nabanggit
bakit kahit na pitikpitik parin ako this year (basta work & mtb permits hehehe) - hindi ako nabanggit
kahit ako ang unang nag-race (although mid-placer lol) under PBB (and yes, this is verifiable) - hindi ako nabanggit
kahiit na AKO LANG ang nagsusuot ng PBB jersey - hindi ako nabanggit

kumagako, you have to re-write the history.

actually sa ngayon ay TESTING 123 TEST MIKE 123 pa sa ngayon... wehehehe

note: for now ive omitted the PRO/Semi-Pro/Sponsored/Prosti riders or those whose FTP is beyond 240
